Defender Bruno has returned to training this week but the right-back may not be risked on Saturday.
Vicente (thigh) played his first game of the season after a long-term injury on Tuesday and could feature against Arsenal at some point of the game.
Laurent Koscielny is likely to partner Per Mertesacker as Vermaleen has been out injured.
Both Mikel Arteta (calf) and Francis Coquelin (hamstring) are unlikely to be risked for the trip to Brighton but Abou Diaby should return to this side after missing the game against West Ham with illness. Rosicky in back on the bench after recovering from injury.
With the FA Cup the most realistic of chances for the Gunners to end their 7 year trophy drought. It would appear that Wenger and team will give their best to not fall at this early stage of the tournament. However, Gus Poyet's side has knocked Newcastle out at the early stage and relishes the chance to do so again against a Premiership side.
