Caught lightly camouflaged and in a very near production state of development, the red roadster seen here is the very latest version of BMW¡¯s new Z4.
The new car is sporting a retractable hard top, not exactly high on the list of wants for most open top purists, but probably a necessity at this point with such technology becoming more and more common in the market.
Other changes to the popular convertible appear to be much more evolutionary than revolutionary but there are still some significant differences that can be easily seen. The central rear brake light has been moved inboard from the lip of the trunk lid to near the rear windscreen, and the shoulder line of the Z4 has been smoothed out considerably. It also appears as if the diagonal character line just in front of the door on the current car has been deleted ¨C though the placement of the cammo masks this area fairly well ¨C a move that would be in line with BMW¡¯s recent moves to unclutter the styling of its vehicles.
